Leah Barclay is an Australian acoustic ecologist and electroacoustic soundscape composer with her research covering sounds of the Amazon to the Australian Ocean and is currently working with the Australian Rivers Institute to develop ways to acoustically monitor rivers. Being based around the Asia-Pacific it means that Dr. Barclay is head of the Australian Forum for Acoustic Ecology (AFAE) and director of Biosphere Soundscapes which is a global project which explores the creative possibilities to come from acoustic ecology.
