Douglas Quin is Associate Professor and Co-director of Audio Arts, Television, Radio and Film, and also teaches in Military Visual Journalism Communications in the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.
Professor Quin’s portfolio of work details many different sound environments including endangered habitats such as the ice and water of Antarctica, to the jungle soundscapes of the Amazon rainforest, and published work in the Journal of Acoustic Ecology. As well as a musical and academic career, Professor Quin has also produced work for various museum sound design projects including the Holocaust and Human Rights Center in Augusta, and work for film including Jurassic Park 3.
